CRISPY SPINACH CHIPS - Karen Lipa




Crispy spinach chips are easy and simple snacks. Kids will absolutely like this crispy spinach chips. Savory, crunchy, and less guilty when we ate it.

There is not much effort and time to take for making this recipe. My niece love this spinach chips, even I and my sisters like this, too.

In my country this chips usually sells at food souvenir shops. You can make at home, too, because the ingredients are easy to find. The ingredients are spinach, flour, corn strach, salt, white pepper, chicken seasoning, garlic powder, and water

If you want this snack to be a vegan food, you can substitute chicken stock powder with mushroom stock powder. Or if you don’t have any, you can omit this ingredient. It will be less umami, though. So it’s your choice.

Before you deep fried the spinach, you must mixing flour and other ingredient until thoroughly mixed. Then you can dip the spinach into the mixture by holding the stem. Tips and tricks for cooking this recipe is the oil must be hot and cook in deep fried.

Ingredients
  • 50 leaves Spinach

  • 1 cup Flour

  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch

  • 1/2 tsp Chicken or mushroom stock powder

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

  • 200 ml Water

  • Salt to your taste

  • 1 tsp Pepper

  • Get Ingredients Powered by Chicory



Instructions
  • In a medium bowl, mix all the dry seasoning and water until evenly distributed.

  • In a pan fry, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.

  • Dip the spinach into the mixture.

  • Fry for about 1-2 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. The flip and continue frying for 1-2 minutes until all the sides is golden brown and crispy.

  • After frying remove spinach chips from pan and drain on paper towels. Continue frying a new batch of crispy spinach chips.

  • Enjoy the crispy spinach chips!
